Trip Map & Itinerary

We will visit the Greater Accra Region, Central Region, and Western Region. Accra will serve as home base, and we will stay there March 28th - April 2nd and April 4th - 6th. The group will stay overnight in the Central Region April 2nd - April 4th. We will only visit the Western Region for a few hours as it is where Hour of Grace Educational Complex is located.


Day by day itinerary

10 day itinerary trip from Accra to Accra visiting 1 country and 4 cities.

Day 1

Akwaaba (Welcome) to Accra

Your trip in Ghana begins in the capital of Accra. You will be met at the airport by a trusted driver and transferred to your hotel. The day/evening will be used as a time to refresh.

Day 2

Free Day

Visit Accra Mall to exchange money or pick up needed items. You can also take a dip in the rooftop pool or enjoy the surrounding area of The Lennox. Then join our group in the evening as we gather together for a welcome dinner.

Day 3

Tour the City

You can kick the morning off in group fellowship. Then learn about the independence of Ghana at Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, take photos at the famous Black Star Square, then shop on the lively Osu Oxford Street for fabric, jewelry, and souvenirs.

Day 4

Agbogbloshie School Visit (Adomens School)

You will have an opportunity to serve students at Adomens School located in Agbogbloshie, an impoverished district in Accra. H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow’s partner organization, Asase Africa Foundation, sponsors 70 students at the school who receive free breakfast under the organization’s “Breakfast for Hope” program. Students will receive breakfast and participate in an empowerment session led by a H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow volunteer followed by personal and environmental education from a local Ghanaian organization.

Day 5

Free Day

Hire a private tour to see Lake Volta or make a short journey to Aqua Safari. You can also go catch a short canoe ride to Bojo Beach.

Day 6

Onto the Central & Western Regions (Hour of Grace Visit)

After checking out of The Lennox, you will travel to the Western Region, but not before making a pit stop at the well known Cape Coast Castle in the Central Region. You will tour the Castle to learn about the history of the slave trade in West Africa, tour the slave dungeons, and see The Door of No Return. Afterwards, you will make your way to Hour of Grace Educational Complex to tour the school, interact with community members, and participate in a craft activity with students. Later, you will check in at the Lemon Beach Resort located in Elmina, and participate in an exciting group activity in the evening.

Day 7

Free Day

If you are feeling adventurous, you can make your way across the suspended bridges of Kakum National Park. Not feeling that adventurous? Then you can schedule a tour to visit Elmina Castle, plan for a visit to create a Batik, tour Cape Coast or relax pool/beach side at the resort.

Day 8

Road Trip to Accra

You will ride back up the beautiful coast of the Central Region to Accra and check into The Lennox. Use the evening to find a quiet place to reflect on your journey.

Day 9

Aburi Botanical Gardens & Farewell Lunch

Join the group as we make our way up the breathtaking mountains of Aburi to visit the Aburi Botanical Gardens. Afterwards, we will go to Peduase Valley Resort to tour their small zoo and enjoy a farewell lunch.

Day 10

Departure from Ghana

Use your time before your flight to purchase souvenirs, visit sites within Accra, or to prepare for your departure from Ghana. Transportation to the airport will be arranged.
